Who we are
Hope For Literacy campaign is a Kenya‑based education initiative using simple, powerful tools – eco‑friendly MOMO pencils, planting fruit trees, environmental literacy, and coding clubs, to keep children in class and excited about learning. We work with primary schools, teachers, parents, and partners to:
- Provide eco-friendly pencils to needy children
- Turn school grounds into green, fruit-filled spaces
- Build 21st‑century skills through coding and digital literacy
- Offer mentorship and life skills support beyond the classroom
- Promote literacy among underprivileged children
- Impact, Empower, and Transform communities
- Break the cycle of poverty through education
- AlignIng with key SDGs (SDG4, SDG13 and SDG17)
Mr. Mahamud Omari
Fonder - Hope for Literacy
As the founder of MOMO Pencils, I’ve seen firsthand how a child’s future can be held back by something as small as the absence of a pencil. Hope For Literacy is my personal commitment to ensure no child sits silent in class because they lack basic tools, and no school is left behind in the shift to a greener, more digital future.
